Gas Compression
Natural gas is already covering 27% of worldwide energy demand, however, the security of supply remains a dominant issue as multinational efforts to build and operate new gas pipelines often fail due to regional instability.

Liquified natural gas (LNG) is an emerging form of transporting natural gas that amounts to 5% of world demand and is best suited for areas not connected to pipelines. Liquefaction still makes up for 25% of total transportation cost, therefore energy efficient and optimized equipment can lead to significant gains.

MECOS considers oil-free gas compression and special equipment for LNG an important market for high reliability, high performance turbo machines and is readying its product lines to meet the industry’s requirements and demands.
