René Larsonneur joined MECOS in 1989 as one of the early staff members of the then young  spin-off company. With his scientific background in rotordynamics and controls he das been responsible for the development of control concepts and software tools. Apart from his responsibilities as Senior Scientist for the development of new control concepts and control design tools he is in charge of education and training of his younger colleagues. Since 2002 he is member of the ISO technical committee for the development of the new magnetic bearing standard. René Larsonneur holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Ph.D. from the Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH). Today he can look back to almost 25 years of activity in the field of Active Magnetic Bearings.
